Johnson Lake is a 3.7 mile loop trail located near Anthracite, Alberta, Canada that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is best used from June until August.
Very serene in the snow.
Lots of parking for a well enjoyed picnic spot, canoeing and hiking or come the winter then cross country skiing and snowshoeing. The trail has minimal elevation gain as it circles the lake giving you a shaded tree side and a more open sun tanning stroll side. 2.5klm circuit and surely less than an hour as you watch fish jump, spot birds and watch canoeists paddle.
Easy trail around a pretty lake. Saw a pair of loons and the fish were jumping the morning we walked it.
