Very enjoyable backpacking trip. The trail to the campsite is great for beginner backpackers who are physically fit. The trail is clear to follow and undulates rather than being steep in any one area. The campsite has benches, fire pits and food hanging buckets to protect from bears. Plenty of spots to collect water along the route so no need to haul too much. Expect the walk to take 4-7 hours each way depending on fitness & pack weight :). Be ready for mud ! After a few days of rain, the trail was very very muddy ... I day hike the trail. The camp site is a beautiful place for a snack

Quite technical in some spots due to mud and rain. It felt like 15 km with all our alternate routes taken to stay out of mud to Jacques lake. Very beautiful hike and campground. Saw no wildlife. Log book at campground said many saw moose.
