Nice hike for our first day in Banff. Hoodoos themselves are a little anti-climactic, but the views along the trail are lovely.

Nice little hike. We ended up having to change all of our hiking plans due to the really severe smoke from the BC wildfires. We chose this hike because it was along the river which was one of the only natural features we could see and enjoy in this particular day with how thick the smoke was, and also because it had no significant elevation (again because of the smoke). The Hoodoos are pretty sad if you’ve been to the badlands before, but it was interesting to see in a sort of unexpected location. Overall this hike was very pleasant and easy if you’re looking for something in town or don’t feel like slogging up a mountain.

Beautiful little hike with some fascinating features at the end, definitely worth seeing! We found some nice opportunities to get off the trail as well :)

Fun little hike along the Bow River. Hoodoos were a disappointment but nice view of the Bow River Valley. Easy hike.

Great hike with moderate traffic. Made it to the hoodoos & turned back and caught a bus downtown. We parked at the train center as it has 8 hours of free parking.

Easy. Did this in winter and very chill walk, not really a hike. Great views and nice when you have the trail to yourself in winter.

Great little trail to start if your a low lander and you need to acclimatize. The Hoo Doo is the biggest disappointment on this hike!!! If your only going to see the Hoo Doo you might find yourself disappointed with the hike itself but really it was the let down of seeing the one lone mostly washout Hoo Doo

Our Canadian honeymoon visit to Banff started out with an easy 3.1 mile trek from Bow Falls to the Hoodoos. (Date hiked: August 10, 2009.) Read the full write-up at: http://www.greeneadventures.com/2009/09/27/canadian-rockies-banff-bow-falls-hoodoos/

There are many trails that go off of this one that it made it slightly difficult to follow. That may also be because I wanted to be closer to the river, so I was constantly cutting over. That being said, I found a very relaxing spot to just sit back & relax, enjoying the sunny spring day.
