This was a nice easy trail, and it wasn’t busy at all. Some really pretty views of the river and the hoodoos were very cool to see. Took me around 2.5 hours with lots of stops for pictures. Would recommend if you are looking for a quick easy hike.

Great easy trail. Family of 4, kids 12 and 9. Scenery was breathtaking. Trail is well maintained. Highlights included: Hoodoos, river, deer.

i originally had planned to do the tunnel mountain. unfortunately had to turn around due to a warning regarding coyotes being aggressive with dogs. i ended up at the hoodoos trail and we (dogs and I) had a great time. I didn't consider the trail to be moderate but rather on the easy side. the view is spectacular. The trail is somewhat on the narrow side and therefore there wasn't a choice but to step away on the side when i met people. All in all I was very pleased with this easy hike. The parking lot is not very big and the washroom were closed but a "portopotty" had been brought in

Great walk/hike from Banff to the hoodoos. I would say.most of the trail is easy with moderate sections. There's a beach along the way that makes for a perfect spot to stop for snacks or lunch. Lots of beautiful scenery and forests to admire and hardly any mosquitos .

The perfect route to explore Banff. It takes you through town and along the river to the hoodoos. We ranged in age from 30 to 55 all in decent shape and finished the hike feeling pretty tired. There are a couple of steep climbs but not overwhelming. Lots of lovely viewpoints ! No obstructions on the trail. It was relatively quiet on the trail outside the viewpoints on this Friday afternoon of Canada Day weekend.

Beautiful views of Mt Rundle, the Bow River and the Hoodoos. Easy walk that takes you into Banff town centre then back, around Tunnel mountain. Stopped by the Bow for a picnic, was absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful trail! There was a lot of wildlife on a long the way. we saw a bunch of wapiti, just be careful as there are a lot of moms nursing their babies along the way so just tread slowly. having some bear bells would probably be a good idea. We brought our little mini dachshund along the way and she loved it. This was a nice low impact trail to soothe our sore muscles from yesterday's 20km hike.

Really nice trail, started at 6PM and barely saw anyone else on the trail, nicely trafficked, nice surroundings perfect for a walk after work but wouldn't be good as a day hike, 1 part of the trail had a major snow drift but climbing it was pretty easy

More of a walk than a hike, but a good way to spend 2 hours near town. Some semi-decent views of the river but that's about it in terms of scenery

I can’t believe this hike is so well rated. I would only recommend it if you are in town without a car and don’t want to put the effort into getting to any other hike. You can hear cars for about 75% of the hike, views are ok, whole way back is beside a road.

Was a nice hike for the south leg along the river and up to the hoodoos but would really not recommend the north leg back into town. It's along the road and makes for a rather noisy unsafe trek back. If my ankle hadn't acted up I would have just in and out'd the same way along the river rather than making it a loop.

Did a modified version of this as a 6 mile trail run. Super views, hoodoos were very cool. Definitely recommend for an easy morning hike or run -- had it virtually to myself, and some stunning scenery very convenient to the heart of town.

Nice day 1 acclimation hike. Very easy to access from anywhere in Banff. A couple of steep sections but mainly a nice walk. Great views of the valley and Bow River. Bow Falls are close to town, adjacent to the Fairmont.

Fairly enjoyable and simple hike with my family. Started by the tunnel mountain camp grounds and stopped at the Banff Centre. About 65 mins at a slow to average pace.

Great variety of vegetation on this hike. Beautiful mountain streams , stunning forest and occasional clearings. Very clear and well identified tracks

Nice views close to the river but apart from that more just a nice walk if you want some fresh air away from the busy town

Easy hike in light forest alongside the Bow River. Nice views of Rundle and the Hoodoos at the end of the trail. Nothing too difficult, nothing too spectacular.

Not spectacular but a good moderate workout for a day in Banff. Try to park as close as possible to the Village II campground then follow the trail to Hoodoos and back to the bow river valley. If you don’t do that you will end up walking 3-4 km through Banff streets.

Awesome trail to hike parking in Banff the town itself and then walking up was amazing. Flat for most of it. Awesome river views and great access to the Hoodoos

It was a nice and mostly easy trail. We had some trouble to find the right way in the second half of the trail, but we saw many deers, which was great.
