Beautiful views. Difficult to find start. You have to open up the barb wire cattle gate (it wasn’t obvious to us) but luckily someone else showed up. Definitely need bug spray. The trail map shows out and back but many people turned it into a loop. If you do the out and back the walk back up the steep hill is a workout (a little more heart pumping than other easy trails just on that one spot).

First part was great for kids . The wildflowers a the top of the hill were very beautiful . The descent from the hill is super steep though , and the bottom was all mud and cow piles . Even the dried mud was super chopped up and difficult for children .

Fantastic views from the ridge - really great payoff for the first half of the hike. The wild flowers were lovely and the path was dry. If you want to keep it easier turn back after the ridge. Also, if you have bad knees I would suggest using poles for the steep descent from the second hill. The farther you go on this hike the more confusing the trail becomes. There are many cow trails that are almost indistinguishable from the trail. Even frequently checking the map, we were unable to find the last part of the trail. Using the function letting you know when you go off route may help. I would have given this hike more stars if the second part of the hike was clearly marked. Still, an enjoyable hike that I would do again.

Highly recommend this trail for a family. You will have to watch for the pull out in the middle of the road and the trail start across from it. Open the barbed gate to be on your way. Beautiful green valleys and many wild flowers to explore. One tough climb at the middle of the hike, but great views from the ridge afterward. You will probably need the app in order to keep on the trail as it is a bit tricky to see.

Great trail, even for young kids. The access isn’t really marked so follow the trail marker on the app and park on either side of the highway. We had to open the cattle gate to access this trail. Great views, lots of wildflowers, a few good spots to stop for a snack.

Nice trail. Easy ascent at start. Great views from the ridge. The trail descends from the ridge on a grassy hill. We were with a young child and decided to take the loop back instead of continuing in the interest of time (we had a late start). A nice relaxing hike. Bring a jacket as the ridge can be windy.

I loved this trail and the views you would get on a sunny day. We shortened the trail to a loop and the bottom portion was a bit muddy. The hike along the ridge was beautiful. The trailhead is hard to find, there is no sign and if other cars had not been parked there we would not have found the start of the trail.

Had my 5 month old in a backpack carrier. Great views at the two lookout points. Definitely not kid friendly once you go down the major descent. Trail also shows on the app but there is no obvious trail.

Didn’t do the loop around the hill in the valley. Did a bit of a cross country amble/hike back to the starting point.

Very short hike. Took 2 young kids who had no problems with it. They were fascinated with the extensive variety of wildflowers. Gaiters might come in handy as some shoes, socks & pants got soaked & muddy as it was just after a rain. Not too hard to find the trail...look for a big dirt burm right when Google maps will say you have arrived.

Did this hike with my husband and 19 month old son in a backpack carrier. Beautiful and rewarding views most of the way. There is one steep vertical section that we didn’t expect, but totally doable if you take your time and go slowly. Great little trail and fun afternoon with my family!

Trail was in great shape! Fantastic early season walk with the kids!!! The trail gets a little confusing at the base of the hill as there is cattle trails going everywhere. You will need the Trail map on the app to help stay on the right trail.

Great for an early season half-day meander - a little snow and mud but much less than other hikes in this area. Nothing that comes over top of boots. South-facing hills are dry.

Beautiful views and great length and elevation. Nothing is marked so you have to rely on All Trails to start you off OK. However about 3/4 into the hike you have to use tracks that are not considered part of High Noon if you want to get the best views. It is bear country, saw a mom and two cubs and had to wait quite a while while the cubs got to the same side of the trail as the mom.

Short, easy hike that features some not too steep incline and rewarding "summit" which sported a large swath of wildflowers and great view of the valley below and mountains in the distance. We only hiked about half the trail, definitely a great payoff for how short the hike is.

Great trail to do with kids. You could also just hike to the top of the hill (about 1.3km) just before the steep descent and head back a little early if need be. Nice mix of shade and sun.

Very nice walk. You will likely need to use the app to find the start of the trail. Once you go through the gate, go left along the fence, and the trail presents itself. It's a very nice walk with beautiful views, and it's pretty dry in the Spring while many trails are still riddled with ice, snow, and mud. Two of the people in our party were wearing flip-flops and they made it through the hike just fine.
