HikingGreat!

Hiked this on July 10th. Trail is in excellent condition, some muddy parts but nothing you wouldn’t expect for early July. The last two km to Healy Pass are worth hiking through the first 7.5km. Take note of Borgeau Lake and the waterfall when you reach the “summit” (ie the Parks Canada signs that tell you to travel no further)

Great trail! First 5-6 km through the forest then it opens up into meadows and creeks. The further you get up the more you can see the mountain range- yellow flowers absolutely beautiful. Saw a family of marmots too! We hiked slow with breaks 3hr up 2hr down!

Stunning scenery! The first 7KM are through a forest. As soon as you get into the open meadow, it is so worth it! It was covered in yellow and white flowers. You get more elevation in the meadow and the surrounding views of the mountains get even better. We plan to go back later in the season to see how the meadow flowers change. We also plan to do some other day hikes from Egypt Lake.

The Glacial Lilies were at their prime and the meadows were a sea of yellow. Trail in good shape. A bit wet in places.

Epic ending to this hike today.Seemed a little boring and very muddy until you start reaching the fields and lakes .Then it is unbelievable. We got to Egypt Lake but got very turned around coming back and ended up near the BC border.good amount of snow so take layers .Very cold at top but worth every layer. So glad to catch end of marches/)

Very easy hike and not crowded at all. I started my hike around 1.30PM and got back to the parking lot at 6.45PM. Spend more than an hour taking pictures of larches that were everywhere around during the last 3 km. There was nobody but me at Healy pass and I met only about 15 people on the trail so if you are looking for something quiet and quite easy/moderate, this is the right hike for you.

Find the trailhead behind the main building at Sunshine village, near the base of the gondola. The trail is within the tree-line for the first ~7km. The path runs near Healy creek so it may be a bit boring at first but at least is very peaceful. Then it opens up at the top into a spectacular mountain valley for the last 2km. I would highly recommend going during larch season... breathtaking.

My partner and I did this walk yesterday in the rain. We left around 1230 and got back at about 6 in the evening. The walk started off rather flat with a gradual climb then turned into more of a hiking trail. The views of lake Egypt from the top and the trees which had turned yellow were amazing. Despite the clouds and rain and cold weather this was an epic walk which we both loved. We’re not fit by any stretch of the imagination but we did it :) well worth it trust me. Even had some nice soup at the top.

I felt this was a pretty easy hike. I wore sandals the whole way. The flowers were amazing to see. I didn’t expect that many. Great view of Egypt Lake at the end. Want to do that one next year. All and all nice enjoyable day.

The wildflowers were AMAZING!! Such a worthwhile hike. The trail is quite muddy in sections, but pretty easily avoidable. We did the Simpson Pass loop, which I would definitely recommend. It only adds 2km and its nice to have some different scenery on the way back. Supposedly, it has more elevation gain, but we didn't notice anything.

So happy was as able to do this while the flowers are in full bloom... completely speechless! trail itself to the meadows was ok, not to difficult. but the bugs, no amount of bug spray saved us from them they were ruthless. But the views in the field and the views of the lakes were breathtaking :)

This was an awesome and beautiful hike. Definitely not difficult just long! I have to admit we took the gondula and chair lift up so took a different start to the walk, then walked back down the main trail. This was the buggy part! Doing the gondula reduces some of the hike time since your not walking up so much elevation but doesn't seem to give you less km's just flatter. The flowers and veiws awere stunning and I highly recommend this walk!

The wild flowers are amazing! Like words cannot even explain. I went with high expectations and those expectations where exceeded. Lots of bugs. I accidentally ate one. Not particularly difficult, just a very long hike. There is a trail head behind the Sunshine building. This is different than the road up. Happy trails

Pretty Easy trail even in the steep places. But holy smokes was it beautiful at the meadows! If you want to make a loop, you can walk towards the sunshine village on your way back. This is approximately 7-8 km of relatively easy and beautiful trailing. In the end, you can take the gondola from the sunshine village back to the parking lot or walk the 5 km down (on a normal dirt road).

The trail starts right behind the Sunshine Ski Resort lodge just up from Highway 1. It was super quiet today not a lot of people on the trail and that was great. Long uphill section to start the hike so be ready for that. After you cross the second bridge that crosses the stream you will hit some uphill and flat sections. Last third of the hike was up-up-up. You will come to the first open section when you get there and there are millions of flowers. Stay on the trail so you don’t disturb the environment. If you keep hiking up you will get to the top of the pass where you can see 6 beautiful lakes in the distance including Egypt Lake. Nice view. Totally worth it but bring a bunch of bug spray. When you are in the trees the bugs will bite you and carry you away. Enjoy :)
