Quite a lovely hike, especially if you go beyond and up to the top where there is a breathtaking view. It is not difficult, but rewards are quite nice. A waterfall view, small lakes and streams, some old petroglyphs and fantastic views of Canmore. A great warm up to something more difficult.

This trail was a total surprise! At first t seemed pretty pedestrian - considering that there was an “easy” side of the loop that we didn’t take. But wow when you get to the waterfall it’s just amazing! Definitely recommend!

Went out this year 1st time in a few years and I loved this hike. It's best to do difficult way up and easy way down. You have a beautiful view of everything below and when you make it to the lakes. The water is stunning, dogs playing in the water and kids running around. It's a very friendly hike. also a few spots for some rockclimbing just above the lakes. Make sure to go to the very top up the rock slide to see another gorgeous lake and stunning view of the mountains.

Amazing views. Take difficult way up and easy way down. Difficult route has an amazing waterfall and great views of Canmore. Easy way is pretty bland, but will get you to the lakes. Highly recommend for an easy hike in Canmore.

take the harder way up and easy down. nice walk with one steeper section, still a bit wet in June. crowded but good views and pretty lakes at the top.

Went early in the morning in June before the crowds. Pretty easy 2mile circle and plenty of photospots on the way to the lakes. Good trail for babies, dogs, and elderly and not particularly challenging. Some spots may get your shoes soaked.

Nice short hike. We took the "more difficult" trail up and the easier trail down. It was super cold and windy at the top today. But, there are some good views from the difficult trail and the lakes are small but pretty.

Great walk at the end of the day, would recommend to anyone wanting a nice easy hike! We saw a great horned owl in a cave at one of the lakes! And the waterfall is really awesome to see up close as well as from all the different angles you can view it from different points on the trail!
We took the “more difficult” path on the way to the waterfall/lakes and the “easy” path on the way back. Either way would be equally as rewarding but going up the rock stairs as we did rather than down them was probably the easier choice.. Completed in 1 hour and 50 minutes with plenty of stops to take pictures!

Absolutely stunning!

We took the more difficult trail up and the easier one down. The views on both are beautiful and the lake at the top where the two trails meet are a stunning blue. This is an easy trail but still well worth it.

Took the more difficult route up to the top based off previous comments on here. Was NOT disappointed. Highly recommend taking that route as the views were amazing and the climb didn’t feel quite as steep since you had things to look at. We went at 7pm on a Saturday and were the only people on the trail. The lakes are gorgeous and the waterfall was a nice sight as well. Highly recommend this one.

I did this in winter, but wasn’t really thrilled with it. Maybe I need to try in summer.

did this in winter and mistakenly took the "difficult" route without proper hikers. The views were nice though.

Grassi lakes was a good hike, easy climb with a cool view at the end. If you want to make it a little more difficult you can continue to climb after Grassi Lakes.

Perfect hike if you are short on time. Highly recommend to take the more difficult route up for the best views of the town of Canmore!
