Hiked it in the beginning of November. There is a bunch of snow, but it was well accessible in without any special equipment though. Frozen lakes and waterfall were amazing. A quite short easy/ moderate hike (if you choose the more difficult path).

We did this trail on an afternoon in late October.
I would definitely recommend taking the more difficult trail on your way up if you're capable, and then taking the easier trail down. The easier trail is a bit boring, whereas the more difficult trail leads to a gorgeous view of a waterfall. However, if you take the more difficult route I'd definitely rate this hike as moderate rather than easy! Took us under 1.5 hours to do the whole thing, taking the more difficult route up and the easier one down. The lakes are super pretty and there are some great views on your way up.

Awesome hike! Even in lots of snow, it’s short and like a winter wonderland back there! Also the lakes aren’t quite frozen yet!! Would 100% recommend and do again!

Easy trail even in bad weather. Beautiful lake. We took the lower trail back which is a bit more challenging. Must do hike if staying in Canmore. 1 1/2 hours tops including time to sit and enjoy the views.
