We love doing this trail as our beginning and end of season hikes! It has a very convenient shelter so if it snows you have a place to dry off!

Unless you're going camping in the campground or fishing, no reason to do this trail. It's short not challenging with not much to see.

Great trail. We went late April. Still a lot of snow. I recommend continuing towards the campground to get to the lakeside with some shore to explore. Skipping rocks and some BBQ areas and only a few min farther.

Took a church youth group up to the lake for some quiet time, it was peaceful, relaxing and beautiufl. Easy hike suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
