Not much to see. Good for a stroll outside the city but if your expectations are views this is not the hike. Family and dog friendly though.

A nice walk from Nakiska parking lot. Lots of steady uphill to the end of the trail, but it's on an easy, groomed trail. At this time of year there is deep snow on the exposed hillside at the end of the trail. Don't try crossing it!! It's a steep slide downhill into trees if you lose balance. Ice grips on your boots might make the return journey easier, I was glad I had them in places on the way down, even the hard packed snow can be slippy. A good calorie burner to pass 90 mins to 2 hours.

The hike up is an incline pretty much the whole way. Mostly snow covered but pretty well packed. There's nothing special about the trail but once you reach the ridge it well worth it. There's a narrow footpath along the ridge and if you keep following it it'll take you to a large open field that is really nice. I was the only one up there and it was so peaceful, all I could hear was the wind blowing through the grass. I must of sat up there for over an hour. I made a Inuksuk too, it's the only one up there so check it out, pull up a rock and enjoy the view!

A glorious day for November. Very windy on the the mine scar but it was warm. New snow on trail but spikes were sufficient, in fact we all ended up taking them off because the warm temps made the snow ball up under them so hiking boots worked just fine. Make sure to check out the old miner's shack on the way up.

It was a fairly easy hike, there was snow on the ground but with boots on it was great! There was only one building that we could find, but the views past the building are stunning.

The views from the top were worth the hike up. We saw 3 piles of bear scat on the way up, so I probably won't do this hike alone!

Easy hike with two 11 year olds and a 2 year old (who just needed to be carried for the last bit). View at the top was beautiful but a little scary for the kids since it was quite windy the day we went.

Decent hike. Good steady incline the whole time. The only downside is there is no views until you get to the top. But once you get to the top it’s beautiful. I personally would not recommend going with 3-4 year olds. Our niece came with us and had a hard time.

A nice short hike up a mostly wide trail. Part of the Centennial return is blocked by some downed trees but another trail covers the same stretch. Good for an afternoon out!

Awesome short hike! The views are unreal for the minimal amount of effort you need! Be aware the entire path is lined with berries so make lots of noise to avoid a bear encounter! Such a fun little hike!

A nice steady incline all the way to the end. My boys really liked the old mining shack that's on the way up. As many have said the view you're rewarded with at the end is well worth the short trip!

Up until the last 50m, I would have given this Trail 3 stars - a nice walk through the woods, but nothing special. But the last 50m are spectacular & well worth the hike. Took Centennial Trail on the way down - a bit steeper (not much) but shorter and added some variety to the hike.

HikingBugsGreat!

We did this trail with kids. The path was very wide which made a great hiking path. Near the halfway point of the trail there is a abandoned metal house which was used by miners many years ago. In addition to the great path and house you will find dozens of beautiful wild flowers across the entire landscape. We encountered a shower but the sun quickly returned and we were dried fairly quickly. What was great was that the trail wasn't muddy even after the storm. At the destination the scenery made up for the long hike. Once you arrive you are greeted with the immense and beautiful valley below. At the destination you will be facing a beautiful mountain which looks like a painting from some famous artists.

Really nice trail- it was raining on the way up but the trees offered some protection. The top is beautiful, it ends at an open field full of wild flowers with a view of the valley.
