The former location of the Chief Mountain Highway Fire Lookout, which was in service from 1958-1973. All that remains is a clearing, and the closed old road up is unmaintained and has fallen trees across it.

The trail was pretty overgrown but a good little hike. Most of the fun was in trying to figure out whether we were on the trail or not. The clearing is surrounded by trees so doesn’t offer too many views.
