The trail was very rooted and mucky. While not a difficult trail; it was very tedious. No birds or wildlife spotted during our hike and not at all scenic until we reached the lake. Beautiful Glacier lake and views once we arrived.

Don’t let the sign at the trail fool you. “Easy Stroll” Not!

We hiked this trail in late May. The trail was clear of snow, but there were several areas of the trail that were wet or spongy. Most of these areas could be avoided by walking along the outer borders of the trail. Elevation gain was not bad at all; however, there were lots of exposed roots along the trail and few views of the surrounding mountains until you reach the end of the trail. The view at Chephren Lake was beautiful, and we were fortunate to observe a small avalanche from a distance, which was super, super cool.

Beautiful lake, well worth the effort. 99% of trail is in the trees. But the destination is more then worth it

Went on Aug 12. Great hike with a dog, and the lake was absolutely stunning.

Beautiful outcome at the end of the trail. However, the trail is filled with lots of large roots and a very steep desent to the lake.

You're hiking through the forest with nothing about but the birds and bees. You see a hint of blue through the trees and then you walk into the clearing. Suddenly right in front of you is the most beautiful glacier lake, at the foot of the mountains. It's like you have wandered into paradise.
