Not much to see here and is really kinda gross with all of the horse manure. Did see fresh bear tracks on a lookout near the river.

It could have ben a very nice walk with great views, unfortunately 80% of the trail is like walking on a minefield of horse manure. Be prepared for the accompanying smell as well, and don’t even think of doing it on a rainy day...

River views, lots of horse poop. Cute board walk. More of a walk.

Ran it first, then hiked it. Pretty flat. Saw elk and dodged horse poo.

It was an okay walk. Did not consider it a hike. Paved part of the way and then follows the horse trail. A few nice views of the river. The marsh is quite overgrown, so not much is visible. Saw an elk cow.

Very disappointed by this trail. Nothing much to see and most of the trail is for horseback riding as well so a lot of waste around. You need to watch your footing the whole time. The only plus is the beautiful river view.

This is our trip to the Cave & Basin National Historic Site since it's latest renovations, we have been here a few times in the past years. The building structure looked a little different, a new face lift, the trail behind looked the same to me, it's an easy walk up and down the wooden stairs and boardwalks.
