Bluerock and Indian Oils Trails is a 1.1 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Eden Valley 216, Alberta, Canada that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from June until October.
Was there July 14th, 2013 to "work off" the week long Calgary Stampede. The trail has suffered the same damage from the flooding that many other areas in Southern Alberta has encountered. We spoke to 4 people on horseback who turned around at the top area rest spot because of the risk from the sinkholes, however we continued on and once reaching the meadows the trail disappeared, washed away with so much silt covering any sign of the connecting trail. Reluctantly we crossed the marsh and hiked through a field before backtracking onto the same trail and returning the same route, 18KM round trip.
The Sheep River Falls are beautiful, the area along both sides of the river have some water damage but its still easily accessible.
