SnowshoeingGreat!Snow

Nice hike to the bridge and back today. Went out with the intention of snowshoeing but the trail was packed enough we just went in boots. The snow is fresh and untouched off trail making a pretty view. Bridge was still open so we were able to cross it and enjoy that view too.

Trail is easy and well travelled. Suspension bridge is quite packed! Don’t love that there’s no “summit” feeing with a view. Easy with a 6-month old in the carrier.

Easy walk along High Rockies trail, up and down along the way, pretty forest walk to bridge. Suspension bridge is very cool, beautiful view through the valley and the bridge itself is very impressive. Kids enjoyed it and we found it pretty easy. 2 hrs round trip with a stop for a snack across the bridge and lots of photos.

If you park close to the bridge on the road it's less than a km short hike to see it but getting there just for that isn't worth it unless you do the black prince Trail as well

The walk through the trees is nice but nothing spectacular. The road noise and dust is annoying. The bridge is the main attraction but quite busy with many people waiting many taking multiple selfies. Patience is required.

Got to the parking lot at 8am, lots of parking but filled up very quickly. Outhouses in parking lot. Hike is across the street. The hike is along a nice forested area that is also a mountain bike trail. We only saw on mountain biker and we both shared the path very well. Got to the bridge and was only 2 other groups there but got busy very quick. We didn't realize how short that hike was and how close it was to other hikes we had done earlier in the season. The kids we were with liked it. But I think next time we would tack the hike onto another hike and park at the end do the short hike up the hill. Wouldn't use this as our only hike for the day.

My family did this hike today. It didn't take long 1.5-2 hrs round-trip. We enjoyed it, definitely the suspension bridge is a must see. Beautiful weather.

We turned onto highway 742 (gravel road) and kept going til Mount Black Prince Parking Lot to park. We crossed the highway on foot to the trailhead to follow in til the intersection and turned right to get to the suspension bridge. The trail has some incline but easy to walk on and the suspension bridge sure did not disappoint; the trail continued but we decided to turn back from there.

It’s a nice hike to the bridge, nothing too eventful in between. We did a short hike before doing this one and it wasn’t bad at all. It is on a bit of incline but it’s a relatively short hike. Parked on the highway and started the trail there. Not many people on the trail itself but a lot by the bridge. Bridge is limited to 20 people and if you’re trying to practice social distancing, you do have to wait to go on. It was neat to do otherwise!

This was one of my favorite hikes. The path was wet but it was so beautiful in the trees. you could stop and just hear the trees and the colours were incredible. Many parked on the road but we went to the parking lot like AllTrails said. There was lots of parking but the signs were not good. Almost took the loop instead of walking up the road and across the highway to the bridge path.

Trail is nice and wide. Have a deep breath as the incline is so steep. Not so many people in the trail.

All Trails map was wrong so be aware that the starting point is technically on the highway! Also two different spots to start from. Really enjoyed the hike a lot and the bridge was awesome! Nice little gem to discover

Super easy hike to the bridge (we did two previous hikes before hiking this). It’s a quick trip to do to get some cool photos! We tried to follow the directions from the AllTrails map and it was wrong! Make sure you get to the correct trail head! I would probably do this again (recommend going when it’s quieter so you don’t have to wait to cross the bridge)!

Went 2 weeks back during a weekday. The trail itself is very simple with a couple views near the highway. The bridge was quite busy as most people just got off the road near the bridge for the 5 minute hike to get to it instead of the 3.5k to get there. Overall a fun place to take pictures and get a little exercise.

Great trail to the suspension bridge! One thing I noticed was lots of people brought their dogs on the hike, however every dog (with the exception of a golden retriever) was absolutely terrified of the bridge. They were shaking with tails between their legs. I felt so bad for them. If you bring your pup, maybe don’t make them cross the bridge

Went Saturday. Once you turn right from hwy 40 unto the Smith Dorrien trail road go 6.1km (not 8.4km) and the trail is on the right hand side of the road. There was a physical distancing sign on the side of the road but no sign marking the short trail to the bridge . We were there late afternoon and no one else was on the bridge . Great little hike

Went with a pal and had all intentions of an epic hike however we got lost and ended up doing this one instead! We did enjoy the bridge indeed, but the hike was pretty simple. 7kms of trees! No real incline! Not too many spots with views! Not terribly impressed but still, got out, and lived our lives. So no complaints! Best best moment! Spotting a MOMMA GRIZZLY and her 2 CUBS two mins from the trail! In my pure glory! They were amazing and wonderful to watch! They were loving some berries! Yay!

Completed this hike yesterday September 5th. Started quite late in the day, around 12:30pm and as expected it was quite busy. The trail to the bridge is across the highway from the parking lot. Aside from the bridge there is no other views. Bridge is narrow, with a maximum limit of 20 people on it at a time. Bikers are everywhere and hikers must be away! Was almost hit by one from behind .
