Big snowfall caused trails to be deep powder. Snowshoes were needed almost immediately after leaving the lake shore going up, but was pretty packed down on our return. Once at Mirror lake we went left and tried to traverse across to Big Beehive Junction, made it about half way before deciding the avalanche potential above us was too high so we turned around. Made it back to a clearing and were looking out across to the glacier when we watched a small avalanche pop right above where we turned around! Then we tried to take the path to Lake Agnes left of Mirror lake instead but a short way in the path was blocked by a recent avalanche as well. The main path to Lake Agnes had recent tracks but we decided against continuing on to Little beehive and just called it a day. Beautiful day but be aware of the risk and come prepared

Good packed snow up to Lake Agnes. Packed snow on staircase to lake a little treacherous. May want micro spikes for descent / steeper sections but not necessary. Moderately busy on a sunny cold Saturday.

absolutely stunning.. trail was pre-broken with a few earlier hikers and stunning! Bring spikes and layers. The switchback to the big beehive was a bit tricky and well worth it when you get to gasp from the lookout at the unfrozen vivid louise blue!!!! go. so worth it!

Fantastic trail. The trail can be quite busy going to Lake Agnes but becomes much quieter once you split off to the beehive trails. The trails are moderately steep but not too difficult. There is lots of variety throughout the trails. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely love the hike, a bit of a climb, but definitely worth it. We did the big beehive first and then the little beehive.

Beautiful trail! Definitely recommend doing both beehives. Trail is well maintained for the most part. There were a few spots that were washed out on big beehive. Lots of people in some places. Need to be here early to get parking.

Even on a cloudy day this is such a gorgeous place to be. Three of us were out about six hours. We went to the Little Beehive, Mt St Piran and Lake Agnes. Great views often.

We did Lake Louise Trail, Little Beehive, Big Bee Hive, Lake Agnes, Mirror Lake and Plain of Six Glaciers yesterday. We had no problem doing them all as you can easily get from one to the next. It was 6 hours 12 minutes of moving time, but we did stop at the Tea House at Plain of Six Glaciers for chocolate cake and lemonade. The hike was beautiful, and was about 24.3 km altogether. I highly recommend doing it this way as you see many beautiful views and get a good workout in. We arrived at about 9:30 am and there were still about 15 or so parking spaces in the second lot, but the lots were both full when we came back down. The trails were not overly busy.

Great hike, fairly easy. Start early as the crowds pick up later in the day! Parking still available ~730am on a Sunday.

Great trail, big beehive is pretty harrowing on the way down, little beehive is fairly relaxing, the view is similar. Going up to Agnes Lake is very well maintained, get the chocolate cake at the tea house

This was a great trail and oh so beautiful once you reach both little beehive and big beehive. At big beehive, the view of the lakes from above (and the gorgeous mountains) is just astonishing and is 100% worth the strenuous trek up. It is quite steep and is a tough climb but seriously, so worth it. The whole hike is a steadily incline so be prepared for this. The trails are in very good condition but if you are doing the whole loop, I would highly recommend a good pair of hiking boots. If you are looking for the perfect hike in the Rockies, this is the one!

This trail is one of my top 3 in Alberta. I would recommend this to all skill levels and all people who want to get the best views of Lake Louise. Mirror Lake had quite a few mosquitoes. Bring bug spray! You can extend the hike by adding Devil's Thumb or Plain of Six Glaciers after the Big Beehive.

Worth the hike. Go to the teahouse first and then up to the behive. If you go the other direction you don’t get to see the view as much
