May 16th, 2020 - Trail is not groomed and the run off made this hike a little treacherous. Made it up to mirror lake without poles or spikes ect. Would not recommend this trail atm.

One of my favs, we went up to little beehive and there’s a spot where you can see the lakes/run offs from three different mountain/snow ranges. Can also continue onto big beehive or other trails. We went on to agnes teahouse which was a really cool spot to stop and eat. We got caught in a huge downpour of rain which started when we were in the teahouse haha, we ran down the entire way haha. Great fun.

We hiked this without poles or crampons on Oct. 17 and conditions were fair to poor. The length of the Lake Agnes trail was either extremely icy or slush all the way down to Lake Louise. Definitely go earlier in the morning, as fresh snow is slightly less slippery than ice or slush. There’s one area around Lake Agnes where there was ~2 feet of snow. Somehow there were mosquitos too. Overall, not too horrible, but views were only moderately worth it.

The hike was beautiful and really the only thing difficult was the bit of ice on the trail. Spikes would have helped in certain spots. BUT it was way too busy!

Definitely worth the trek, nice to do the circuit so you get a little bit of everything and it’s not just a Back and forth trail. Mirror lake is frozen at the moment so no reflection, but otherwise it’s fun and not too busy this time of year.

Gran ruta, buenos paisajes y variedad de lagos para la distancia y altura que se recorre.

Love this walk. Stunning views from the top; lake looks amazing. There’s a teahouse at lake Agnes but make sure you bring food as there’s always a massive queue. Really enjoyable and challenging, but rewarding too. Just do the walk, you won’t regret it!

BEST.DAY.EVER but GET THERE EARLY. We tried a couple days prior and arrived by 8:30. NO PARKING and would’ve had to be shuttled in from 20 miles down the highway. No thanks! We were in the parking lot by 6am and were surprised how many cars were already there. Bonus was the clear sky and magnificent view of the stars. We basically spent all day (hiked about 12 miles). Had breakfast at the Chateu and began our hike around 7:30, hitting the Tea House first for a snack and bathroom break, then went up to the Little Bee Hive. Spent a good 30-45 minutes exploring, relaxing and taking pictures. Back down to the Tea House grabbed a spot and ate our lunch (that we brought. Long line for food). Then hiked up the Big Bee Hive. Wow, just wow. Amazing views and was quite an accomplishment for me to do this hike. Hung out for another 30 minutes and went down the opposite side as if you were going to the Plain of Six Glaciers. We got to a point where people were coming down a rocky path, they said it led to the Tea House. We did it (a mistake on our part because it was tough after all the other hiking) but we thought, we’ve come all this way, we gotta have tea at the stinkin’ Tea House! Basically we were both exhausted (in our mid 50’s, fairly good shape) once we got to the top. (Remember to bring cash to the Tea House. We had tea and biscuits w/jam and unfortunately had to purchase a $4 bottle of water because we had run out.) We slowly made our way back down. Literally throngs of people around Lake Louis.

Absolutely breathtaking! This trail was a great way to spend a few hours and would highly recommend. It gets tough at times, but a quick stop at the tea house will give you just what you need to carry on!

We went on the monday of the long weekend. Was extremely busy but managed to park in the lake louise parking lot at about 7:30, ended up hanging around till 8 as we wanted to buy bus tickets to moraine lake for later in the day. We did this route in reverse, heading up to the plain of six glaciers and the upper viewpoint (was a better view from up there but in the context of the whole day wasn't really needed), we stopped for 20 minutes at the teahouse as there was no queue. We then headed up to big beehive, the path got a lot quieter at this point, The climb to the top is fairly steep but short, so once you're getting annoyed with the switchbacks you find yourself at the top. This is a spectacular day, there are a couple of tougher climbs that will get the lactic acid going but nothing really very difficult as each climb is quite short. We were back at the parking lot for 2:30 to catch our bus, we stopped for 30 minutes for lunch, 20 minutes and the tea house and swam in lake Agnes for about 15 minutes. We could have spent longer but we didn't feel at all time pressured.

Matched if not exceeded expectations. Though Moraine still holds my #1 in the area, this is a supremely memorable day if done right. We arrived by 5:45 on a Thursday and easily managed a great spot. For the first glimpse of Louise, keep walking 50 yds towards the center of the lake for your pics and avoid the unnecessary parking lot bottle neck. We began beehive circuit at 6:30 going Little Beehive, Tea House, Big Beehive, Plain of 6 Glaciers, ending at 3:30pm. If tea house is high on your list (it should be if only for the tea hydration and bfast snack, plus also world's coolest barristas for hiking up supplies each morning) I would rec hitting before little beehive - it will cost you 5-10 min backtracking and win you 10-45 min waiting in tea house line....My sis liked little beehive better, I found each highly rewarding...As for Plain of 6 Glaciers as an add-on, I would def recommend at least trekking a half mile to the clearing. Judge your legs (and warer supplies) if you want to make the full route - it's tougher than you expect after a long day and what you'll see is an extension of that first clearing. Tremendous day - enjoy!

Took us 8 hours to hike the entire loop. We did the big beehive, both tea houses (bring cash) and 6 glacier lookout. What a perfect day. I would go early.

Awesome views! Quite a busy trail. But it won't be much as busy once you pass Lake Agnes.

View from Little and Big beehive is spectacular!! The tea house, mirror lake and lake Agnes are awesome!! The reason why I put 3 star is because of trails conditions to Tea house. It’s so dirty of horse craps, disgusting smell and very stressful to dodging them. I found out that Fairmont hotel offers this horse ride. Hope they should take care of this...

This place is way over populated! We did the hike up to the tea house and then carried on around Agnes Lake and up to the big beehive! Amazing views from the top of lake Louise. The path is very step from the tea house and up. Wear good shoes and hiking poles helped. We got to the top about 6 pm and it was fairly quiet coming down. Busier times are earlier in the day. Great views but if your looking for moderately quiet this is not the place.
