What an sweet little gem of a hike. Path goes down into a canyon where houses are mostly out of sight. Excited to see this place in the summer. Definitely one of the nicer hikes inside calgary
Locals told us about the moose that frequent the area and how the community has come together to protect the area for them. Haven’t been lucky enough to see any of the moose but have seen some tracks. It’s a beautiful walk with parts covered by trees and you can walk down in the valley part which makes you forget you’re in the city. This is not a mountain hike but a beautifully preserved chunk of land to spot wildlife and walk your four legged friend.
Nice easy trails along a small valley, butbwasy to forget you're in Calgary. Saw red squirrels and deer, and a dog that had escaped from a nearby house. Cool in the valley on warm evening.
For being located just on the edge of Calgary this is actually a very nice little trail. Great place to walk your best canine friends or go for a stroll. There are lots of paths to take through the trees, with babbling brooks and little wooded bridges! It was a bit muddy when Bogart and I went it was raining softly, but getting dirty is all part of the joy of hiking. What a great little place to explore!
