This trail is a good alternative to enjoy the view and access to the Sugar Loaf without having to take the cable car. You also have the option to take the cable car and do just one of the stretches of the trail. However, if you are only returning by cable car, it is advisable to buy the return ticket at the embarkation station at Praça da Praia Vermelha. The trail is steep and there are many obstacles such as rocks, branches and roots along the way.

Totally great way to see Sugar Loaf without the cable car. Not terribly challenging, but a good way to stretch the legs.
