This 1.5 hour walk takes you through some very beautiful woodland and heathland areas to the edge of Lake Preston. It is a varied walk with attractive scenery and highly recommended, although you should take precautions against mosquitoes which are present close to the lake.

no shade

Peaceful. Sat by the water for about an hour to enjoy the tranquility. There was a thick fallen down tree right across the path which we had to climb over when we went in August so this does block the way for strollers/bikes/wheelchairs if it hasn't been removed yet but it should be okay to get through for the average hiker/walker. Just remember to bring a hat and water as there is little shade on the path itself but overall a nice short day hike with some nice views.
