A purpose built downhill track, right in the centre of Albany on Mt Clarence The local mountain bike club have been responsible for this short downhill track which has several unique features; the wooden berms, breathtaking views over King George Sound and the fact that it is only a couple of minutes walk from the city centre all make it unique in WA. Getting There: The trail starts from just west of the car park off of Apex Drive, which is on Mt Clarence, only 1km south of the centre of Albany. Albany is a 4.5 hour drive south of Perth. Route Directions: The track is a one-way downhill track from the start near the car park to where it opens out onto a fire rd near Hare St. Local Facilities Toilets: Yes (near the War Memorial) Drinking water: Yes Bike shop: Great Southern Bike Company and Rainbow Cycles both in Albany Cafe/shops: Lots in Albany Mobile phone reception: If using the free version of the EveryTrail app you will need continuous mobile coverage.
