Our itinerary for this multi day hike: DAY 1: Telegraph Saddle to Refuge Cove (Sealers was booked out) - 16.7km DAY 2: Refuge Cove to Little Waterloo Bay - 7.2km DAY 3: Little Waterloo Bay to Roaring Meg (Walk to South Point) - 25km DAY 4: Roaring Meg to Oberon Bay - 9.5km DAY 5: Oberon Bay to Tidal River (walk back to Telegraph Saddle) - 11.6km Total: 70km WOW! This one's been on the bucket list for a while and it didn't disappoint. This hike had a bit of everything that I'd seen on Vic and Tassie hikes so far; coastal hiking, beach walk, rainforest, dry Aussie bush, tall gums & ferns & grass trees, rock formations and rock hopping track, as well as wind resistant shrub areas. We were blessed with ABSOLUTELY magical weather for this time of year! 14 degree days and the lowest overnight was 2 degrees. We hear the prom is very unpredictable but that certainly wasn't the case for us! Water was plentiful, most often obtained in running creeks. The only downside was the ‘no campfires’ which you really do need for these short days and cold nights. Other than that... it was magical! This was a fun trail, we stayed at Refuge Cove and then Roaring Meg campsites which broke the 3 day hike into relatively even sections. The first day we did apprx 17kms in about 6-7 hours, the second day was a big 22kms which we did in around 8-9 hours, and the last day we made it back to our car at Tidal River by 3pm. Beautiful scenery the whole way around, especially along the coasts!

Did a 3 day hike of part of the eastern circuit. Slept at Sealers Cove and Little Waterloo Bay in a hammock. Really enjoyed the diversity of different subsections to the large landscape and abundance of wildlife. THERE ARE POSSUMS EVERYWHERE! Make sure you put all your bags in a safe place or lock the zips because a possum opened the zip on my bag and stole all my beaf jerky.

This walk is about as good as it gets, traversing different types of landscapes from coastal heath to rainforest, and taking in beautiful bays and beaches. It can be done as a multi-day walk with a choice of camp sites, most located near secluded beaches, or travel light and stay at the Lightstation, making a 2-day circuit possible.
