The Werribee Gorge is a beautiful route along the Werribee River. There are a few technical areas requiring some scrambling and possibly cables, but they’re not that difficult to maneuver. There are even some areas to go swimming.

We did the short circuit trail. It was unexpectedly busy even on a rainy day. Car were parked on both sides of the road for about 1km, if not more. However, our trail had less people than the main circuit. The views were not as spectacular but definitely, an exercise especially climbing up the gorge. We went anticlockwise, about 1 month ago.

It is a beautiful walk and I love the bits of tech scrambling possibilities. This is about 9.5-10km long trail as opposed to 7.4km. Not sure why it is mentioned as 7.4km.

During June - July on a cloudy day, this trail is very beautiful. Very good gorge with great scenery.

This walk was amazing! We ended up doing 13.5kms so I don't actually know what other tracks we ended up doing towards the end but we started on the Werribee Circuit from the Quarry Picnic area walking in a clockwise direction. It took us 4 hours to do. I do recommend hiking shoes however we walked in runners. Just be wary some sections can be slippery if your shoes don't have good grip. My 6 yo daughter came with us and did well on the Rocky ledges and the rope area. Beautiful spots along the way.

A great walk that has a lot of uphill trekking. The short circuit walk took me 3.5 hours, and I am an amateur with a low fitness level (lots of water drinking stops haha). The path is not always well signed, so take a photo of the map. There are loose rocks covering a large part of the paths so if you are prone to rolling an ankle take caution. Also, go to the bathroom before you get there as the public toilets are drop toilets and are not located in the first car parking area. Other than that, a very rewarding walk that gives you a sense of achievement when finished! Regards, Amateur Kristal

Excellent trail that does get moderate to difficult at times scrambling along rocks and even along a cliff wall with support of a rope attached to the wall. Some beautiful viewpoints along the trek and gorgeous scenery. Best way to do it counter-clockwise.

Great trek, not too busy midweek, cable assist parts not too hard for first time use. inclines in both directions steady. Drop dunnies in car parks - no handwash facilities. stunning views.Highly recommend

It was a great experience for us. We started the circuit walk from Meikles Picnic area and worked our way clockwise. We found it a better way to do as we had energy to get through the one way rocky gorge area. second half of the circuit walk was not that interesting but still enjoyed the scenary.

A great circuit with plenty of fun challenges! Completed this on a wet day and it was a bit slippery in places but was fine with good shoes. The signs along the trail were a bit out but our various devices we had on us said the track was about 8km and took us 3hrs.

This was a great hike. Bit wet and slippery in sections but given its winter, that is to be expected. Did it with 10yr and 13 yr old who loved the scramble and rock ledge sections. Started about 11am and went clockwise which meant we were looking into the sun when we got to the sunny half. Might try anti clockwise next time. Car parks were full and overflowing when we got back nearly 3 hours later. Was getting very busy. Great walk. Will definitely be doing this again.

Thoroughly loved this hike. Definitely a dry hike as would be slippery if rained. An adrenaline rush using the ropes on rock face. Feel great.

Lovely views along the river-- just be mindful it does involve some mild rock climbing. Good mix of ups and downs but not too tough on the legs
