Excellent trail - one of my fave’s at this distance. Wild flowers are starting to come out. Best to go in the morning from Walhalla to avoid the hotter Western sun as you finish the last 4kms to the bridge. Bit of blow down but able to go over or around. All up 4hrs return on a flat track.

Hiked Walhalla - Poverty Point - Thomson station - Walhalla (18.5km). Track is overgrown with blackberries for much of the way and there are lots of fallen trees you have to scramble over or under. Pretty scenery, and a few snakes along the way. Mostly flat except for a cracker of a hill as you depart Thomson towards Walhalla
