Great trail, would love to go back and highly recommend this to others. The early morning fog persisted throughout the day giving a mystical and almost esoteric vibe to the forest amongst the 60m tall giant trees. The trail is very muddy so hiking boots and water proof clothing is essential. When starting from the Tanglefoot Carpark you will have the option 5km in to; push through to push on with the full 21km circuit or join the 10km loop if you aren’t up to the full hike.

Great walk in the Toolangi forest starting from the Wirrawilla rainforest walk carpark. The well defined path gets very muddy where it runs parallel to the creek. Very easy walk flanked by majestic Mountain Ash.

Very easy walk suitable for children. Fern gullies and beautiful scenery, mostly flat with slight terrain changes. Bits of mud after rain. Definitely will come back for the full circuit. Added the Mt St.Leonard short hike to the end of the walk (drove there), easy little walk - one steep hill but overall fairly short (800m). Worth it for the view

This is a nice trail with lots of tree ferns, large trees, bird life, and running water. It is fairly flat the whole way and can be done in a little over 2 hours :)

Beautiful track. It was slippery and muddy after a storm so make sure you have proper shoes. I combined the Myrtle Gully Circuit with the Tanglefoot Loop which worked out at about 17km in just over 4 hours. Highly recommend.

Good moderate track. Bit of overhang on the way down.

I love this trail, it's been a favourite of mine for many years. The towering Mountain Ash, green fernery and wildlife provide the perfect backdrop for hiking. I'd also rate this as easy rather than medium as it's mostly flat.

nice rainforest walk, but little else to see. the extra bit to the lookout wasn't worth it for us as it was foggy and we couldn't see a thing. nice to practice longer trails on a loop though

Nice 2hr walk. Really a trail in two halves. first half is mostly downhill, narrow trails, and a little overgrown (if you don't want to be ducking and weaving like a boxer, i recommend to pick up a light yet sturdy stick to push scrub out of your eyeline and catch any cobwebs). second half is more open, and uphill. intimate trail which is enclosed by walls of flora for the most part - a range of bird calls provide a serene soundtrack, and I didn't see another human animal the whole trip.

A little overgrown in parts but nothing a small child couldn't cope with. Gentle downhill, gentle uphill, nice easy walk. A bit lacking on the scenery side of things. Picnic at half way in a nice quiet spot

Lovely walk , the app says 7.2 km , the signs at the site read 10km and we clocked it at 7.8 km and did it in 2 hrs and 6 min ( and I’m very slow going uphill ) so information is a little deceiving. Loved the walk all the same , pretty, mostly shaded and peaceful . Track is covered in fallen leaves so would be slippery in wet weather but fine in the dry . Would recommend .

Started the hike from the Monda Carpark, would recommend starting 150m down the road at the other end which will be a steady downhill for half of it, then a nice shaded short incline under ferns and nice greenery on the way back. there are nice boardwalks on the shaded side of the track (track starting from the Monda carpark)

It started mostly downhill so all I could think about the fact it’s a loop and that means there’s going to be uphill to get back. I’m not fit at all and probably should have started with an “easy” track but this was achievable and fun. Glad I made it lol. Oh and as your heading down there’s like semi overgrown shrubs and shit scratching your legs and stuff so you just gotta be careful. I was kinda careless and scratched my ankles on stuff... but I wear like low socks and runners which isn’t really the right hiking gear.
