A 5 km coastal strip with a path behind the dunes that runs parallel with the beach the length of the reserve. Considered one of the nicer beaches on Port Phillip Bay. The area contains remnant indigenous coastal vegetation, 50 hectares of the finest Coast Banksia woodland in Melbourne and is forming an important habitat for many birds and reptiles and shelters. Stick to the path and keep off the dunes to help protect this fragile ecosystem.
