As you can see from the pictures, this is a lovely walk through Toolangi State Forest, just north-east of Melbourne. There are some gentle climbs as you wander south along the Tanglefoot Track and return by the Myrtle Creek Track. There are plenty of seats and some tables where you can stop for a bite to eat. Well worth the effort.

Great trail. No rigorous sections. However you do have to jump a few fallen trees. There are some nice picnic spots throughout the trail. Took us just over 2 hours. Some parts can be slippy. Would be an amazing experience at sunset / dark. All up, great hike.

Very pleasant walk, through mountain ash and tree ferns. We were lucky enough to see black cockatoos and hear gang gangs. Take care on boardwalks which are extremely slippery as the wire mesh has been removed (hopefully it will be replaced). No really spectacular views but very pleasant and quiet.
