This is a combination of two excellent points-of-interest in Macedon Regional Park. The first part of this route traverses Mount Towrong. There are some steep rocky sections so be careful here, especially when it's wet. The second portion takes you north to the Camel's Hump. From there you circle back to the parking area.

Great hike! We didn’t do the camel’s hump loop but the rest of the hike was lovely. The hike up was really beautiful but the end was quite hard as the switchback road was pretty muddy. Definitely recommend taking so food to sit at the top and admire the view!

Was a nice walk and climb with different terrain and landscapes. The views were well worth the effort. Track rocky in parts and muddy in other sections but easily traveled. Enjoyed this. Next time onward up further when time allows.

Lovely wooded trail that is dog friendly and kid friendly. Steep in parts and mostly along fire access trails. Cool temperate forest and the trails are clay so can be slippery and muddy. A great walk, take snacks!

Really enjoyable walk today! We just did the Mt Towrong part of the walk and it took about 2.5 hours, amazing view at the top of the steep ascent. Rest of the trail was in very good condition and nice forest areas.

Giving this trail a 5 as it is one of the best to be found in Victoria, that is also dog-friendly.

really good walk although my phone gps said it was 17km and I didn't go that extra little bit at camel's hump. very rocky and slippery on the downhill between mt towrong and anzac rd. take care on the public roads especially if you have a dog as in lots of spots there is not much room either side if a car comes.

Beautiful path and views throughout although do watch out for the rocky steep descent down Mount Towrong to Anzac Road (slippery when wet).

It was a lovely hike with varying scenery. Not technical in any way, shape, or form, and only receives a moderate difficulty rating due to the distance. We finished our hike on camel hump where we got to see some splendid views and had a refreshing breeze cool us down. Mount Macedon pub for a pint of Beachworth ale is the best way to finish.

I’m enjoying this walk as a local, we’ve been bored to the last soul until we found this one.
