Description
Waypoints (5)

This is a popular route offering incredible views of Wineglass Bay. The walk can be done in either direction, but most people choose to go clockwise. This way you get the stairs up to Wineglass Lookout and the steps down to Wineglass Bay first on your hike. After walking the Wineglass Bay Track you’ll take a right, traversing the mostly flat Isthmus Track (30 minutes) and then the equally flat Hazards Beach Track back to the car park.

Hazards component is long and boring. Definitely skip and walk this as out and back via lookout.

Excellent trail Walking to wineglass bay the track has been well designed. After wineglass its a lot more natural. Took about 3 1/2 hours. If it overcast try doing it reverse then you might be lucky to get to the lookout when the sun is out

Popular track including the famous Wineglass Bay Lookout. Gets less busy after the lookout. Great walk and lots to see all along the way.

A decent trail - one you probably want to start early on. We only did the base to Hazards Beach and back, due to some time constraints. Have previously gone to the Wineglass Bay lookout previous so happy to skip this time. Mozzies out with Ross River Virus so make sure you take aeroguard or similar

Loads of mosquitoes, some with Ross River fever. Cover up and bring repellent. Otherwise an easy walk on a well-maintained track.

A great walk on very good trails (with lots of steps!) . Huge variety in the scenery, plants and physical environment. Mosquitos carrying Ross River virus problematic in the forested area at the moment. Sunscreen with insect repellent recommended.

Fantastic day of hiking. Only thing I’d fo differently is maybe just reverse it all so I ended up at Hazards Beach last as that’s the beach you wanna swim and stay at the longest I’d say, wineglass bay is stunning but there were blue bottles everywhere and it was very windy/choppy, hazards was out of the wind and just truly tranquil. Note that the mozzies are bad so cover up and use bug spray - Ross river is a fear at the moment. Mt Amos is actually pretty tough, gets windy in parts and I would highly recommend shoes with good drip and would not go up it if it’s wet.

Great track. Took my kids 10 and 7 who managed the hike fine and we did in under 4.5hrs with stops. First section to wine glass bay lookout and beach was the hardest part of the hike. We went early morning and avoided crowds at both wine glass bay and hazards beach. Hazard beach was stunning with crystal clear water. Saw a snake on the isthmus track section -just a reminder to be aware.
