RunningGreat!

Most of the this on the Railton express. One part is a very steep hill (up and down). Overall one of my favourite local trails. You will come across MTBs as this is a shared family trail.

Mountain bikingGreat!

I haven't been for a few years. There is a new toilet block in the new car park and bike washdown facility which is great. However, the gate at the car park is no longer open so you have to walk and carry any food, drink, chairs etc for spectators of families who are filling in time while others are riding the great tracks. It is a 1.6 km walk in on the gravel road to get to an open, shady, rocky place near the bridge to picnic.

to much people. a lot of bike and also some very noisy motorbikes. I took the walking trail, but in one point is in a very bad conditions. I followed the pink tape. but I get lost near the river. the vegetation was very high and the trail was invisible to my eyes. was impossible to find the way. so I just started to walk in the middle of the vegetation. I couldn't see animals, only wallabies.

HikingGreat!Over grown

Great little loop, riverside section excellent for platypus gazing. Historic ruins. A bit of up. A bit of down. Watch for bike riders on the shared trails. River flat single track a bit overgown in late Summer with grass tops, keep an eye out for snakes.

HikingGreat!

What a lovely walk. Start on the high track so you finish with the walk along the river. Lots of birds, butterflies and views. Can’t believe I have lived in the NorthWest for 2.5 years and have only just discovered this walk.

Did it early in the morning... lots of wildlife and what a hike. The big river bend section is challenging and a bit overgrown, but really beautiful - enjoy the photos.

WalkingMuddy

Great tracks. Share some with bikes. Wet underfoot in sections. Scaled rocks along the river and forded streams through fern gully.

First to Review

The easy walking track around the Mersey River. We were lucky to see platypus, a few of kangaroos and a beautiful, bloody fast green-black snake. Watch out for mountain bikers.
