Getting There

This moderately challenging circuit meanders through wide trails with some rocky sections and steep climbs. This route is great for glimpsing some of the views across the Adelaide Hills, and of the waterfalls and creeks after rains have passed.

At the trailhead there are toilets and also park information signage. For more facilities, head up the road to the Stradbroke Road Picnic Area where you'll also find a picnic area with barbecues, accessible toilets, and a playground.

The best time to see the falls is after heavy rains, or during spring and winter when the flow is strongest. In spring you will also catch the native wildflowers and orchids in full bloom. A detour to visit Giant's Cave can also be included in this circuit, and the entire route can be taken from either direction and extended or shortened into nearby connecting trails.

The trailhead starts at the car park at the end of Morialta Falls Road.

Beautiful walk. Did get a little lost but that was our own fault haha. Safe to walk if you are a solo walker. Beautiful views.

Great trail, but definitely not what I would class as easy. Wide trails, with lots of rocks, slippery after rains and steep climbs to start with. Class as a moderate hike at least. Sensational views, and also quite busy, great after rains with waterfalls and creeks running

can be a very nice walk in the cooler months especially if there's been rain to get the falls flowing. nothing overly difficult apart from some short steep inclines.

Lots of trails to do depending on whether you want a short stroll or a bit of a hike - but none of them too difficult. My wife and I (pensioners) hiked 12.6 kms - and she did it in her thongs (flip-flops). Well laid out and interesting. Trail surfaces pretty good and not too "manufactured" looking. We'll come back.
