This is a short section hike of the Heysen Trail to Mount Magnificent. When the trail comes to a junction, at the 'Mt Magnificent Summit' sign, turn left. The Heysen Trail will continue across the road. Instead of crossing the road, turn right and follow Mount Magnificent Road parallel (there is no trail here). When the double fence begins, turn right to follow the trail uphill. Make your way to the summit. On your return trip down, take a left onto another trail. At the end of this trail, you will take a left to return to the car park.

Great little side hike whilst coming through on the Heysen Trail: Section 9. Only adds an estimated 1 km to the over all hike. Doe's give a good leg and lung work out thou!. Great views from the narrow ridge at the summit.
