Fantastic walk. We followed the White Rock Track about 3klm which is really just a sandy road then veered around the 1.4km circuit around White Rock itself which is pretty cool. Keep walking around till you hit the White Rock sign as there is a large open area where you can stop for lunch and climb White Rock if you want to. We then walked back following the White Rock Ridge Trail which is more of a bush walk and where you do have to scramble up the rocks for the view over the valley and Brisbane City. Totally worth it. Really great walk. In all 9klms by our GPS.

Great little track, no overly difficult, great for families. However if you want the view, the scramble up is well worth it!!

I'm sorry but this track is absolute garbage. You don't earn the view, your just given it.

excellent tracks closer to Ipswich. Do it in the early morning to catch the sun rise. Can do the main track in less than 2 hours.

I did this with my 9 yo son, and he totally loved the rocks at the half way point ( if doing the loop) Be prepared for rock climbing, scrambling and the likes if you continue over the ridge. It pays to wear hiking shoes when doing this, or shoes with decent grip soles. The views on the ridge are breathtaking, so cool to see all of the city from so far out. This hike is a bit longer than mentioned. All up we took just over 3 hours, but that includes spending time at the rocks and letting boys be boys and have some rock climbing fun. If you’re up to climbing up and over the ridge definitely do it. The trek back is completely different in every way. It was very disappointing to see people leaving their rubbish behind at the rocks. Empty bottles, chocolate wrappers etc. just sheer disrespect, so please take your rubbish with you. Even though we went in July, definitely take lots of water with you. We hope to return and do this again one day.

Was a good walk. There is one point that required a bit of a climb but with good footwear this wasn't an issue. New signs up the rocks makes following the path really easy. Some muddy points after a good downpour 2 days ago but easily avoided. No river and hasn't been for a while as described but still a good wander. Definitely one I'll do again.

one of my favourite trails. i do this a couple of times a week before going to work. i do clock wise and then continue up behind white rock and back on to main trail. it's beautiful. it's been super busy since park reopened. take lots of water.

I really enjoyed this trail, I went the day after a good poor down and everything was fresh and rainforest like. Not muddy due to the ‘river sand’ all the way. I will make this a regular walk a specially after it rained.

Loved this trail, the climbing bit up the rocks made it interesting. Nice to sit up there a bit with the view. Climbing up had some narrow spaces so while it wasn’t tiring, its easier with long limbs to get up. Doesn’t feel like you’re going to fall

We really enjoyed this trail. Would definitely recommend doing it counter-clockwise as the latter half of the track is more rewarding/ challenging as opposed to the first half which is more of a leisurely walk. Overall very beautiful and some fun rock scrambling throughout.

Great trail, was second guessing doing the ridge walk loop or just turning around to go back the way we came but would definitely recommend the ridge loop. Lots of loose rocks so need to be careful but the views are better on the ridge side and was easier than I expected.

I have done this track a few times and had no problem.. but don’t do it distracted.. I got lost for four hours on a managers track I assume and zero signage caused me to take the wrong way multiple times with no reception. Live ammunition nearby do not know where I ended up to this day. Just something to keep in mind

A curious mix of wide bicycle friendly sandy sections, single track, and a rock scramble. Don’t listen to the reviews saying this is not a moderate trail; you will find these people have taken the bicycle friendly track all the way to the rock. If you take the actual ridge track you will be rewarded with single track that leads to wonderful views and a decent work out before reaching White Rock.

Lovely trail. Bit more interesting on the route back. Lovely views. Workers there with huge trucks and CAT machines. Don’t know what they are up to, but the sounds of those have likely scared off a lot of wildlife...

An awesome hike to get kids started with rock scrambling. The ridge trail is the best with caves to explore and gorgeous views. It was closed but opened by council 15/5/2020.

Easy hike! The only reason it’s rated ‘moderate’ is the final rock scramble. Other than that, didn’t work up a sweat at all. View is great for the little work you have to do

I did the white rock trail track up to the rock and the ridge track back to the car park today. Really enjoyable walk. Loads of butterflies along the way. Lovely view from the top of the rock. My 8 yo did it easy.

Awesome place highly recommend, lots of side tracks and well signed. I followed the ridge track up to the white rock and every turn was exciting, a lot of butterflies and saw a few snake tracks. Beautiful views along the top ridges along the rocks. The white rock is beautiful, well worth the climb.

Second time I’ve done this track. It’s definitely great if you do the ridge track, the ‘white rock hiking trail’ is mostly just flat sand roads and longer than the ridge trail. It’s very satisfying reaching the top of the actual rock. Definitely recommend.
