One of the most beautiful, remote and adventurous-to-get-to waterfalls in the region. Track is very overgrown, very steep in sections and should only be undertaken by very experienced hikers with navigational equipment as in extended sections there is no trail and one must navigate through bush. Reward is worth it as the swimming and views at the waterfall are exceptional.

Epic! We downloaded All Trails Pro which was very accurate. Walk literally two minutes from the carpark and there is a bush track on the right when you get to the Windin Falls sign. The first couple of km are flat but a little confusing as it winds through the rainforest. There is then a long and steep descent into the gorge - a little slippery but enough trees, roots and vines to hold on to. Two creek crossings which are both below the knee currently. The final stretch to the waterfall is the most overgrown but well tagged at the moment. The waterfall was definitely worth the walk in. It was much bigger than I had expected and a great spot to swim and have a picnic lunch on the large boulders. I recommend taking tape and downloading AT Pro just in case. It is pretty clear but some spots were confusing. Plenty of leeches and some wait a while and stinging trees. We didn't see anyone else all day, so it's important to be very prepared!

Great hike! The falls are spectacular. As of 2/10/2020 the flagging tape is starting to deteriorate and the previously cleared track is becoming very overgrown in places. If you stick close to the previously cleared track you can't go too wrong as in most places it is easy to follow.

Took us 6.5 hours all up! Very good trail and amazing waterfall and views, for more experienced hikers as the way back is a lot harder, lots of leeches, wait awhile and encountered many wild pigs near the end of the trail

Great Falls/view at the end of the out. Hike is easy for first 2.5km then very steep down to creek. Walk from creek to falls technical including creek crossings. Back the climb is steep and slippery so caution is required. Recommended hiking poles and definitely insect repellent - leaches abound....... Track well taped from approx 1km to falls, if everyone help keep the trail clear/taped it would be good. Have fun and stay safe.

Done this in the dry and also in the very wet. Had to do some serious detours to find a place to cross the creeks in the wet. Counted 20 leech bites in the shower that night. Still worth it.
