This is a short picturesque walk good for the whole family. There are great valley views and stunning waterfalls. You can hike it either direction, but most choose to go clockwise. The first half of the walk is heading down into the valley to the base of the waterfall, with lots of views. The base of the falls makes a great lunch or snack spot (please take your rubbish out with you). Over the suspension bridge and back up the other side of the falls. This gets the heart rate up a bit but fine for people of average fitness or better. Not as many view points on the way out but very pretty rainforest and lovely rock features. Beware this trail can get quite busy on a nice weekend day.

A little muddy in spots (to be expected) but waterfalls were full and flowing beautifully. Cold water but had a dip under the falls

HikingMuddy

Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, however having a moderate level of fitness will obviously make the incline easier. Waterfalls were spectacular. We went after a bit of rain, so the waterfalls were flowing nicely, however it made the track a little muddy, but it was not a problem with appropriate footwear and a hiking pole.

Not as good as Canyon Lookout - but still pretty great. 4.5 stars would be more accurate.

Done, been many years since I have done this one. 2 weeks after those really heavy rains, and there is still food flows over the falls. Good scenery. Good morning walk before the mid morning-lunch walkers turn up

HikingGreat!

I went with my 15 year old daughter and we both thoroughly enjoyed the walk. If you are fit then it’s an easy walk if you are not fit then it is tiring even when walking clockwise as is suggested. On the day we did it the temp on the Gold Coast was about 29 degrees C and sunny. Up at Springbrook it’s about 5-6 degrees cooler because of the elevation. The entire walk is tree lined so you get lots of shade from the tree canopy. The track was nice and dry and made for easy walking. I’ll definitely do this walk again.

Weather was lovely! The waterfalls were full from all the recent rain. I’ve never seen it like it before. Amazing! Everyone was so patient with our little 2 year old walking the track with us. He loved it!

There is a lot in this hike. Great views of the valley, and the falls. Clockwise is probably best, but anti-clockwise would be fine too. You walk down into a valley where you will be rewarded with a high waterfall flowing into a swimming hole. Around the swimming hole there are lots of Stream Lillies, and Elephant ears. You will walk on a small suspension bridge with another great view of the waterfall (waterfall is tall, but not fast flowing). Then you make a gradual hike up again. Near the camping area you might see some Red-necked Pademelons and native raspberries.
