Jesus Christ I will never do that again! The walk back up was all uphill and torture.

The hike wasn’t great - just walking along a dirt road for most of it. More of a trail run. But the view from the look out made it all worth it. Stunning! Easy to miss the little path up to the left to the lookout so make sure you follow the All Trails path closely. I was warned to look out for snakes at the top but thankfully didn’t see any

Firetrail for nearly all of it, quite a lot of shade. The ridge trail from the peak to the East back towards the fire trail is almost non-existent its so overgrown.

Great walk, Its worth going all the way to the top. The view from the look out is great. most of the track is a road, which is maintained. But the track leading up to the camp is overgrown, I nearly stepped on a snake there. from the camp to the look out is just as overgrown, but also very steep. But the view is worth the effort.

If you do this walk, make sure to go to the end! Otherwise there's no worth to it. Nice views at the end. Return the same way you came, rather than doing a loop as it's a slippery mud slope on the way down. Wouldn't recommend the walk that much. There's better out there.

there is other track that will take you to the northbrook gorge. it is not on that app but it is amazing and challenging walk. Just google about it as it is tricky to find where it is start. basically you pack straight after bridge over northbrook creek and walk up to stream under the bridge. get ready to walk in a water and swim in some places. at the end you will be able to swim in natural swimming pool so take some food it is around 11 km return

Fairly average out and back but decent exercise. Make sure you walk another 500m past the end of the mapped end-point to the lookout for a nice view.

Really good walk. If you go from the road it’s a good 3.5 hours there And back. It’s really hilly so it’s a real challenge. There’s a short cut back but it’s not signed and there’s no path so it’s a guessing game. The misses bottled it so we just kept to the path there and back

Glad I took the turn off and walked the ridge line there was plenty to see with the rock formation and the plant life grow although turn is not marked.

Gravelly fire trail along ridge. Starts as rainforest. Continues as drier bushland. Views to ridges. Long uphill and downhill marches. Didn’t try the shortcut. The return route is a good 2 hr workout!

I enjoyed it,recommend early morning, can get hot later in the day. More a fire break road then a trail,The view at Northbrook Mountain lookout is incredible, I was going to do the detour trail, but not real well marked, plus I was solo hiking, so another time.

Good track. The detour across the top of the mountain is steep and not as well marked but a good challenge.
