Super lovely track! Wide and easy to follow all the way to the camp site. A little further from there you can take a small track to a super beut view! Got a little hot on the hills towards mid morning, but overall a great walk!

HikingGreat!

Nice hike but not to difficult, a great short hike if you want to fill in a few leisurely hours, add in the gorge which connects to this trail and it becomes a decent hike.

Excellent little hike not far from Brisbane. open fire trail. Took this at a very leisurely pace. 12.2km all up. recoding stopped for a bit. Make sure to check out the summit a little way past the bushwalkers camp.

unique hike this one. You can stay on the camp ground. Also you can do a loop following after the camp ground. Amazing views from the top. Medium difficulty. Plenty of bee hives on the way. Enjoy

I really liked this hike. Plenty of birds making noise. Saw a decent sized lizard/goanna when taking a break at the bush camp. Walked up to the lookout from bush camp and worked my way back to the Lawton rd track in a loop, instead of the out & back option. Would not have made the loop without GPS, it was a must have as the loop trail is visible only sometimes. Saw a small kangaroo on way back.

The start looked promising, but this turned out to be nothing else but a walk on a wide road. Nothing special about the scenery or views along the way and from the top.

Big walking ways. Enjoyed taking small hiking path from the lookout point on the way back and absolutely love it.

Nice open fire trail. Plenty of wild life. The lookout that is just up the track from the campsite has a great view. A good amount of incline/decline track. Will definitely do again.

BackpackingGreat!Scramble

Rainforest with amazing old fig and gum trees, down into eucalypt forest. Nice views, then the campsite is so peaceful. Great sunsets and sunrise, the look out is awesome... heaps of grass trees and she-oak and emu bush. So many birds: drongos, whip birds, bell birds, rosellas, cat birds, yellow robins... If you’re staying over, bring plenty of water. The nearest top-up is 5km down in Northbrook Gorge - a very steep and adventurous bush-bash down to the water. Great for a bit of wild swimming!

HikingGreat!

Great casual stroll from Lawtons Rd, accessed the camp grounds via the Rodge line track (veer left off road around 2-2.5kms from the start) transitioned to the Gorge trail on the way back (quite steep 1:1 ratio, well worth it)

Track is mostly road and it's down and up there and down and up on the way back. Steep hills means you get a good workout, but the lookout at the end is awesome and the birdsong is magnificent. When you get to the camp area, take the trail to the lookout. Its worth it. We were hiking in the rain and it was really lovely. Beautiful big trees line the road for some of the trail, well worth it. Took 3hrs with a 15min stop and was almost 13klms.

Easy walk to follow. Gradual incline so the fatigue only hits you once your done. Good for a walk and chat as its pretty quiet - not many others about. Went to the camp spot at the top and lookout a bit beyond that makes for a nice lunch spot. Peaceful & enjoyable but wouldn't rush to do this one again.

Great track , beautiful views , no water or toilets available at Northbrook Mountain bush camp so you need to take that into account if you are hiking to bush camp and then continuing on to do the England Creek and Joyner Ridge Road back to Maiala

I did this walk and camped for the night. It was extremely tough carrying a full backpack uphill to the camp. Was pretty much all fire trail but found the views while walking quite nice. There is a small trail that takes you to the gorge if you’re up for that. Definitely make the effort to go to the lookout point - the view up there is certainly worth it!

I could not understand why everyone was going to the summit and then coming back down the same way. I now know why. Got to the summit and the track just vanishes lol.

The hike wasn’t great - just walking along a dirt road for most of it. More of a trail run. But the view from the look out made it all worth it. Stunning! Easy to miss the little path up to the left to the lookout so make sure you follow the All Trails path closely. I was warned to look out for snakes at the top but thankfully didn’t see any

A walk to the first Northbrook Mountain camping site via Lawton Rd & the ridge trail, with its great views. Moved onto the second camp site with the same name, which turned out to be just a clearing next to the road.

Great walk, Its worth going all the way to the top. The view from the look out is great. most of the track is a road, which is maintained. But the track leading up to the camp is overgrown, I nearly stepped on a snake there. from the camp to the look out is just as overgrown, but also very steep. But the view is worth the effort.
