Mount Tibberoowuccum is a 1.1 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Glass House Mountains, Queensland, Australia that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, trail running, and nature trips.
One of the peaks in the Glass House Mountains Range.
Hard to find. No signposting at all. Use all trails to find the start. Nice quiet trail. Views worth it at the top of tibro and looking south to Brisbane. steep and some loose rock
Walk up from the Old Gympie Rd fire trail. Nice walk, very pretty bush at the top with great views of the surrounding peaks. Trail was easy to follow. Steady ascent along an uneven trail. In comparison to either of the Tunbubudla peaks this is easier because the path is not as loose.
Good short hike. Some tricky little sections if you’re not sturdy on your feet. Follow the all trails map to a pile of rocks that indicate the trail head.
First Ascent went the route as indicated by other climb. Easy to miss the small cairn that indicates start of the climb. Good steep ascent. Only a minor scramble right at the summit which you can skip and still get decent views. recent rain so a bit of mud and some of the paths on alltrails were just swamp/didn't exist. Trachyte loop is excellent and well signed. Last portion around tibro can be a bit exposed in midday sun.
this hike was so good. haven't hiked in a year but I was able to do this had to take a couple breaks on the way up. bring your bug spray, industrial strength!! tons of mozzies but totally worth it. the views are stunning
As most people have said, short and steep but a great little hike. Prefer this one to Ngungun and Beerburrum as it is actually on a proper trail. Nice test for anyone recovering from surgery or injury. Sand, clay and loose rocks but main issue were the mozzies in light rainy conditions. Still a great view from the top!
This is an excellent short, challenging track. Not for beginner hikers. Starts on the fire trail, and heads up the mountain at a point on the left marked with a rock heap. I missed this at first, so keep an eye out for it. Once you’re on the trail it’s very obvious to follow, and very steep. A lot of slippery sand and dirt at the moment, so watch your step.
Very amazing views from the top. Did it for sunrise and loved it. Great mountain!
Great hike! Well worth doing early in the morning to catch the sunrise. Was a moderate hike up that keeps the legs burning. Pack light and warm for a sunrise climb. The last section of rock scramble was my favorite part.
Great trail, seems to be quite hidden, no signage of gow to get there etc, luckily for alltrails app! Feel like its placed right in the middle of the glassys, real nice view from the top
Not quite the height of Ngungun but if you want a great view of Tibrogargan it is the walk to do. One small rock scramble at the end but nothing compared to the Tibrogargan or Beewah.
The small climb up Tibberoowuccum is moderate grade with a few metres of scrambling toward the very top. Tracks are all clearly defined and well maintained.
Good little track. Gets your heart pumping. Little bit of a rock climb at the end. Super fun track.
Mount tibberoowuccum is a proper climb, so steep and quite a work out! Just be weary that it’s a rock climb at the end but you don’t have to do that to get a nice view at the top. The rest of the track is pretty average, a control burn must have been earlier in the year as a lot is just only just got a bit of green coming through.
