Hard and steep. Not a good idea on a hot day.

Spectacular climb and the best 360' views in the Galss House Mountains!! Persist through your fear at the beginning as it gets much easier! You don't need to be able to hang out in every position so don't get too caught up in finding the best hand and foot position each time; just keep moving and it will be easier to stick to the wall. I climb this beauty along with Mt Tibrogargan once a week. Half way up you stand beneath a glorious rockface (that you climb around) with white sand at your feet. Enjoy, you got this!

Great scramble. Hard work and not suitable if you have a fear of heights.

Rock climbing

Great climb. Did this as my first rock climbing experience, was absolutely terrified the whole way up and nearly froze under fear a few times but the view is worth it. Didn’t have good shoes so did it bare foot which was fine but caught the heat on the way down and had blistered feet afterwards

Pretty but terrifying. Very much a mental challenge. Go with someone who knows where to go or if you’re an experienced climber. I didn’t realise it was climbing for most of the way. Easy to fall in parts, if you’re afraid of heights you won’t made it far. Definitely need grippy shoes. We only made it to near the top of the hard bit. Go on the track to the left to get up as going up the main bit is really hard.

Rock climbing

I struggled doing this. It’s incredibly steep and I’m afraid of heights. The rocks get hot in the sun. Take plenty of extra water and electrolytes. There’s some caves once you finish the initial climb which are a nice spot for a break. There’s no shade at the summit. For me this was both a physical and mental challenge.

Worth the hike. First bit is the worst, after that initial scramble the holds are larger and easier to see!

great climb, not too difficult on the way up. stick to the main path. the first section is the hardest - there is another track on the way down veering off to the left (right if you are on the way up) but this is difficult to go down with not many footholds or handholds to downclimb. avoid this and you'll be fine. bring water. it will take approx 3 hours for this climb incorporating several short stops on the way up and down.

Definitely one of my favourites this one. Love it during winter on a clear day. Best views but can get very crowded, needing to wait before scrambling again. Which is okay as I get a breather and it’s not a super long trip. Definitely very steep in most sections and you need to be mentally prepared for that. I highly recommending going with someone who’s been before if you’re not fully skilled for steep exposed scrambles like this one.
