A paved but very steep walk leads 700 metres uphill through a small area of rainforest, then winds up through eucalyptus woodland to a fire tower. There is a 360 degree view of the Glass House Mountains and other parts of South East Queensland from the summit. On a clear day, Brisbane CBD is visible too. when decending the fire tower, go down backwards as you would with any ladder, several people have tried to go down forward and had very nasty accidents.

Five Stars for exercise purposes, excellent cardio workout! Extremely steep, cement path leading all the way to a beautiful view at the top.

Really well maintained tracks, the concrete section to the top is steep but has very good good grip, especially coming back down.

Very steep climb up a paved path. Took us about 45 minutes to get up to the top but that’s with 5 or 6 stops to tighten/fix my shoes, add bandaids, strap my ankle/blisters to try and stop my shoes from rubbing (I made the rookie error of not bringing my thick socks to wear with my ankle high hiking boots). Once at the top you can climb up to the first level of the tower but even then you only get a very small view of the mountains as the trees are very high on that side. There are almost no trees on the other side looking over the city but don’t have high expectations of the views for the mountains. The way down only took us just under 20 minutes.

HikingGreat!

1 hour round trip. A great short hike for someone moderately fit. From the trailhead it’s a steep concrete path (30+ degree) most of the way. You are rewarded with 360 views of the Glasshouse mountains and Moreton island. Plenty of parking.

Short walk, however last half is extremely steep! Well sealed on steep section- ensure you have good grip/ tread on shoes for return track. NO WHEELCHAIR WOULD COPE WITH THE INCLINE.( contrary to other posts) Also note GPS location on this trail & app is very incorrect.. took us half hour trip instead of 5 min!

Whoever rated this trail easy needs to be fired. This was a very steep climb on paved ground but with very slow progress. Be prepared to walk up backwards and take lots of breaks. Definitely need some training beforehand. The fire house at the top was closed so the views were interrupted by trees as you couldn’t go to the highest point to enjoy the views. All the hard work for a mediocre view.

Quite a steep climb! A certain level of fitness is required, or just take it really slow and have frequent rests. Great views and well worth it when you get to the top.

It is a short by very steep walking track from the starting point up to the top. The track is paved. The description says it’s class 3 hike. But in terms of the steepness, It could be bit difficult. Nice view on top.
