This is a nice little family friendly hike near Brisbane. The first part of the walk is along the Powerful Owl Trail before looping around on the Kokoda Track before returning to the car park. The trail isn't that difficult, but it's a nice workout!

Great 10km walk/hike! The powerful owl trail is moderate/high traffic on the weekends as it's a little more approachable for families and dog owners. Kokoda track is still closed (as at early may) but a good work around in the meantime is to follow the Jacksonian track, then Bellbird, then scorpion for a similar route. The Jacksonian trail is smaller and less busy, the Bellbird has moderate traffic (it seems great for mountain biking) and the scorpion track has a solid run of elevation gain to it back to the top where you can rejoin the powerful owl trail.

Excellent challenging hill to start. Unfortunately when I came to run this track, the Kokoda loop section was closed due to routine maintenance. Due to open late April. Will definitely be back to complete in full.

This was a great walk for any training for Kokoda! The 800-900metres was a decent incline. Walk counter clockwise for the loop section of the walk. Then at the 7km mark (of the loop) there was a MASSIVE incline for at least 800metres! All in all enjoyable walk... did see signage to say they are doing works on the KOKODA TRAIL from end of March until mid April 2020

This is a great trail to get out and about and move the body. Make sure to take plenty of water, especially in summer. The first 1km is straight up hill and then it flattens out for a couple of km's. Like Darren mentioned below, once you get to the road with Channel 9 on it and you really want to challenge yourself. Go counter clockwise and take the Jacksonia trail down and come back up with Kokoda trail. The last bit will get the heart going!

Great walk. If you go clockwise you descend the really steep track.

super fun run, first km uphill is a grind, but some excellent flats and downhill sections.

Great walk, make it harder by taking the jacksonia trail at Channel 9 - that way you walk up the Kokoda Trail and that gets the heart rate up!!

It's a bit challenging for beginners. Breath taking views of nature and I saw a Koala on the way.
