First time running a 12k distance and i chose this trial. Very nice to run, of course it’s got some elevation but that also means you get to run down hill ;) terrain isn’t bad on the legs at all, definitely recommend
Very easy walk, relatively flat, good shade and the inclines are very gentle. A hidden gem.
Nice walk. started a bit too late in the morning, but with all shaded areas it wasn't too bad, still hot.
The best part of Karawatha is the quarry however entering into this area is trespassing. Worth it though. The terrain across the area changes a bit from dry gravel to bush to the thin bike trails, really nice walk as it’s not very hilly except for inclines in the middle. Lots of tracks to follow to make your own route, would definitely recommend
Me and my mate enjoyed a nice 3.5 hour walk around the complete circuit plus a few small sidetracks. The paths are easy to cover with minimal climbs. Relatively nice bush walk with a few birds, kangaroo and monitor lizard sighted. Signage is available but you need to know the various tracks. We were glad we used Alltrails app. Atter the walk we enjoyed a great coffee at Jo and Co at the shopping centre at the Illaweena St Beaudesert Road intersection
nice easy walk. Alot of tracks and little tracks showen on this app. Lucky i had this app or we would have been walking around for hours trying to find our way out.
Serene bush walk. Wasn't busy on a weekday. Wide tracks, many to choose, great for mountain bikes.
Easy trail with multiple tracks. Lots of walkers and bikers. Dog friendly.
Great trail! Would do it again. Nice and quiet with hardly any people to see. Used the map on this app to help find our way back!
Nice easy trail, no too busy & well maintained. Some parts of this walk were different but that may be due to paths where it was muddy and me taking an alternative route by mistake - in one section a tree had fallen blocking a path, but it was easy to walk around. In parts of the walk the breeze was lovely and there was always shade I found it quite peaceful and it was mostly flat.
starting pack weight: 15.5kg. drank a lot of water at start of hike (1.5L in 5km), topped up at water fountain halfway through. found quarry and stopped for swim near end.
