Starting at the Noosa national park you will see a large map board detailing the trails you can take and information on the park itself . There is a cafe nearby if you feel the need for refreshments and public amenities if you need that sort of thing. The tracks are well sign posted along the way usually giving the distances as well. The walk east along the coastal walk has fantastic views of the sea and sometimes you can see turtles feeding close to the shore. Dolphins can also be seen most days and between July to October. Humpback whales migrate past the Hells Hates area breaching and surfacing. There are many beaches along the trail which are accessible by tracks and most have shaded areas close to the land..if walking in summer make sure you start early, carry water and a hat! Once you arrive at Hells Gates and take the Tanglewood Track you enter shaded bush that slowly changes as you move towards the west into more rainforest type trees and some small creeks make a welcome change on a hot day. Track condition: Generally pretty good in most parts, the first parts are concreted then blends into natural compacted soil and exposed rocks, then onto sand trails finishing up with hardened soil paths throughout the rainforest. Best to wear covered shoes-light hiking boots. Water can be found at the parks entrance. Various birds some of which you will only hear. There are some tree roots growing across the path in places so keep an eye out.
