HikingBugsGreat!Muddy

It was pouring when i went to the Glacier. You will appreciate the Rainforest more. I saw a huge Cassowary on my way up. Plenty of leeches make sure to wear proper boots. Otherwise, view is spectacular. Will go there next time when it’s not raining. Love it, as for difficulty i will rate it as moderate.

Great track, on the moderate side. Amazing views and pretty empty on week days.

Nice trail, I would say moderate in difficulty. Easy once you get to railway tracks. Lots of places to look out and see Cairns.

A beautiful day for this walk today. It was like Central Station with plenty of groups on the trail.

Great hike, lots of roots and rocks on the trail so watch your footing. Continue along the Douglas Track to the lookout, very worth it! Will have to bring swimmers next time to cool off in Stoney Creek after the hike.

This is probably one of the most popular walks around Cairns. Starting and ending at Stoney Creek is a bonus and the views from the top makes it well worth the hike up. Once you get to the signed lookout, I’d recommend taking the track to the right which runs for only about 100m to a rocky ledge from where you can view the Stones Creek rail bridge and falls.

Great trail. Track is easy to follow, and lots of people around if you get lost. Views are stunning. First part is hardest, but once over the railway line it’s not too difficult. Would highly recommend

drive to copperlode dam lookout then continue upwards keeping an eye on the km reflector markers, drive to the 9.5km marker then just after that marker you'll see graveld area on the opposite side of the road to park be careful as this is a hairpin turn you really can't see oncoming traffic. after parking you walk upwards and across the road just a few metres and you will see a metal gate after entering the first land mark you will see is a pylon keep going on to the 2nd pylon behind this pylon is the entrance of the hike marked out with orange metal markers on the trees. it is a nice cool well shaded walk but does have some quite steep areas so be careful if taking younger children and if it has been raining also make sure your shoes have some good grip to them

MY FAVOURITE HIKE/TRAIL RUN!!! This is a real treat. Be sure to go to the toilet beforehand as I could not locate public toilets. At the start, take the left trail and follow signs for Douglas Track until near the top where you'll see a sign on the left for Glacier Rock. I have done many hikes and trail runs and this is the best one yet. Varied track with the perfect conditions to push yourself hard. Enjoy and harnes your wildness!

Steep and challenging climb. Well worth the view at the top though. If you are short on time just hike up to the picnic table - the views are almost as good as the views from Glacier rock.

I’ve done this before in a hurry to see the sunrise but today I took my time and it was such a nice walk, steep in sum parts but so nice up the top.
