We set out to do mount Barney but all the trail heads were closed off due to burnt forest and necessary maintenance. The rangers we spoke with said it is very unsafe at the moment and it won’t be open til Easter or so. Cronan creek falls was amazing instead with a fantastic little swimming hole. Very easy compared to mount Barney

Drive in ,good flat dirt road. Enjoyed this walk easy, but a couple of hills, well defined trail.take a hat and water, .Open country at beginning with great views of Mt Lindsay and Mt Barney. Then gradually changes into rainforest as you follow Creek, Mainly firebreak road till you come to post ,on left that signs trail to last 200 metres, minor rock hopping to falls . Beautiful spot.

A beautiful walk with a good selection of bush through to temperate rain forests. The falls and waterhole at the end are a cute reward. While much of the track in is on an incline, it isn't steep - so I'm not sure why the sign says this is a grade 4 hike, I'd put it more at a 2. The way out is even easier.

Decent 3-4 hour round trip walk with beautiful Secret Falls at the end. Thoroughly enjoyed the falls & swimming here & we had them all to ourselves. Saw a few people heading here on the way back, so the earlier the better. Better to do this one for warmer weather so you can cool off & have lunch at the falls. You may think you have gone too far & haven't reached the falls yet, but there is now a small sign on the left of the track once you hit them & you just work your way through about 5-10m of scrub to get to them.

Once you get over the hill at the start it’s a pretty easy and nice hike to the campsite, small water crossing you might get your shoes wet but nothing crazy.
