Please note: This trail is partially closed due due to damage of a wildfire. For updates: https://parks.des.qld.gov.au/parks/lamington/about.html#Caves_circuit A nice circuit walk starting from Binna Burra lodge. Either way is good, though heading down the road first means it only gets better from there... Slowly makes it's way back up to the lodge which is not strenous. Passes lookouts over the coomera river, large overhangs (not caves as such) and a number of microclimates and geological features. There are spectacular ephephytes and examples of opportunistic plants after opened canopies.

Hiking

Beautiful walk, fabulous views, there is quite a few steps, which it doesn’t state in my hiking book and could be a problem for some. Road is closed to complete loop. I started at the bottom near info centre, had a cuppa at tea house then returned on same track which is just as spectacular second time around. Approx 8 km due to road closure. You get to experience the dry and overgrown from the bushfires, along with the beauty of rainforest. Plenty of bird life which was amazing. A good variety trail. Beautiful cave, some steep sections, which could worry people anxious about heights.

the road part of the trail is closed, it's steep and rocky but an awesome cave at the bottom worth getting to. We did see one red belly on our way back out. starting to become overgrown with all the fresh growth and alot of stinging plants.

WalkingGreat!

The track is now partially open. While you can’t do the whole loop the section between the lodge and information centre via the caves is open, which just means you need to return on the same track. This isn’t a major issue since the view from this section are great.

Nice little track lots of steps not caves as such but still nice this walk was added to the end of the lower bellbird track circuit to save us walking up the road - quite enjoyed it

Very quiet. No one else except me. Some nice views of the valley along the way. At the end of the walk, I walked back down the road to my car. Some great views down towards Hinze Dam on the walk back.

I really liked this walk its not very hard the paths are well used. From the upper entrance I would defiantly go down the road and start by the information centre and walk up I saw a koala and a wallaby there are some great view across the valley

Absolutely amazing. So much to see. Beautiful views and a nice challenge. Circuit currently has fallen trees blocking areas of the path but they are easily passable. Don’t let them throw you off and make sure to persevere!

great hike, few snakes around and recommend starting at info centre so the walk back to car is down hill on the road. did a lookout walk at the top too. totalled 7km walk in 2 hrs with the add on 2km lookout walk

The views are really nice but half of the track is walking on Bina Burra road so I’m not sure why it has raving reviews...

A beautiful hike through the forest etc.Not too hard starting from the Lodge but a reasonable workout back up the road.Better combining it with the Lower Bellbird track taking you back to the Lodge and making it a good long hike.
