This hike come up as dog friendly on My All trails app so I hope it is. My puppy had a ball and there should be more dog friendly hikes around. I did see one one other dog there with a guy on a bike. Awesome views too

A challenging walk with an amazing view at the end of it. if you're starting at the side of Mount Ousley just note you'll come across a lot of sections where there are multiple choices of which path to follow. We just guessed and made our way to the top somehow. Make sure you follow the same path down, as the way you came up as lots of trails have been carved out that lead to nowhere. Be on the lookout for snakes, came across a red belly and a python. The trail can be muddy and one part is very rocky so wear good shoes.

A great, varied trail with beautiful lookouts and many options to extend the distance. No signs to say dogs aren’t allowed but spoke to a local who said they’re not allowed and wardens can often patrol the trail.

Awesome view over the Illawarra, muddy track, can take a few smaller side tracks which lead back onto the main track

The entrance to the track is located on the side of Mt Ousley Road. If you’re heading north from Wollongong, take the Picton Road exit and turn immediately right, taking the exit back onto Mt Ousley Road (you would now be heading South back towards Wollongong). Stay in the left hand lane and pull off at the first Truck Stop. Please be aware there is limited parking here. Note: If you are at the Truck Stop with the toilets you are on the wrong side of Mt Ousley and need to follow the above instructions. Great views, bring gripping shoes

Nice pretty short trail. Would be suitable for families (however, keep in mind you are on an escarpment so keep little ones close). No major inclines, just long graduals, but a few natural rock steps so recommend poles for problem knees. Beautiful view at the top! Beautiful vegetation. Track stays wet in places.

Beautiful trail, not too difficult, can be really wet after rain but still doable :)

Very easy track with absolutely awesome views of the Illawarra. Quite a variety of ways to walk this track for some variation. Some beautiful sandy scrubland up the top and some nice cool ferny woods on the way back down. Well work a look!!

We took this trail shortly after a bit of rain and most of the track was flowing like a creek. There were a couple of alternate paths but the tracks were clearly identified. Some low bushes and branches hanging over the track. Walked with a 3 year old and 9 month old and not super difficult. View was amazing and definitely worth the walk!!

I decided to throw in a loop on this walk! Couple of steep hills however very picturesque from Brokers Nose today. The tracks were all well worn and easy to follow which includes my added loop. All tracks were clear at the time and plenty of water in the creeks.

Easy to follow trail as long as you don't go off course to take photos like I did. but found it again easy enough. View at the end amazing. Will definitely take the kids next time.

A nice easy trail with a stunning view over the Illawarra. Easy to follow trail but other trails come off it so make sure you follow the map or it would be easy to end up elsewhere along the escarpment. The views are so incredible it’s hard to believe how easy the trail is to get there!
