This was an two night trip that a small group of friends and I took in August 2015. We camped at Big Bend. It was very windy and got cold at night...but as long as you are prepared, you will have no problems. The trek up to Battleship Spur is tough...you will need to carry your own water as there is no water source at the top. We used water purification tabs and filled up at Big Bend. This is probably the best overnight back country trips I have ever done! The views are stunning and the time spent on your own makes it a great bonding experience for friends.
