This is the second time I have climbed Uluru and the completed the base walk on the same day. This time instead of climbing to the top, taking a photo then walking down, I took an hour or so to sit up there and soak in the views which are nothing short of spectacular. The climb is not for the faint hearted and only about (in my opinion) 5-10% of starters finish at the top. The base walk with the off shoots is well worth the effort. This walk is very easy and worth taking your time to do. I find its a good wind down after climbing the rock.

You can't come to Uluru and not do this trail. It's marked at the Uluru Base Trail and closes in hot temperatures. Definitely recommend giving yourself at least 3 hours (even for the fit!) and finishing before 11am when the temperature increases.
