when i considered creating this hike in the hopes of hiking the colo river, i immediately set out to hike it with my group of friends, the sights are amazing, however because its not an "official" track, only being marked by tape in some areas, it was hard to travel through the boulder fields in some areas, but was worth the hard work and climbing, and climbing in a group allowed for pack passing etc.. my pack weighed a ton throughout it all however, because i had brought rock climbing equipment, and it was colder so i needed other equipment too. but despite the cooler temperatures the waters were still nice and clean.
