A bushcamping permit is required. Original figure 8 pools track is closed which means walking to burning palms and tracking back adding another 4km to trail from Otford. There are steep climb coming back out but the views are unbeatable! This is an incredible, but demanding walk. Check an elevation profile before taking this on. A number of wallabies can be sighted along the trail, and a handful of creeks are along the trail for those with water filters. Rewarding hike, although it's entirety is not for the unmotivated.

Incredible, but demanding walk. Check an elevation profile before taking this on. I walked this from Bundeena to Otford, and would recommend doing this. The shorter second day leaves for some flexibility. A number of wallabies were sighted along the trail, and a handful of creeks are along the trail for those with water filters. Rewarding hike, although it's entirety is not for the unmotivated.
