HikingGreat!

I stopped in on my way home to see the look out and noticed a track off to the side (by the picnic bench) and ended up on an amazing track! (Even if I did it backwards haha) The view is incredible, everything is so green and lush. I would rate this as moderate though, definitely not an easy track, but worth the effort. I’ve added plenty of photos :)

Bloody hard!! I’m by no way unfit but whoever rated this as easy had to be a super fit person

What an awesome track! I did it in reverse and went up the big stairs! Wow that’s a good workout! Can’t wait to do it again, without slipping down a slope and looking like I had an accident! :)

Good track, well signposted and great views. Have never heard such a myriad of birdsong. Only downside was that the track is consistently next to the road, so the road noise was constant. Did have one problem with All Trails map as the initial ascent back up has been closed and a new ascent has been put on the trail. Signposting was correct but my All Trails map kept alerting me to say I was going the wrong way until it hooked back onto the original trail.

Great track encompassing the rainforest parts of Mt Keira and the sandy scrubland of the escarpment. Fantastic views from the lookout. Definitely recommend going this extra trek off the ring track.

Harder than what I thought (pretty unfit). Large inclines via steep steps half way. Seen a Turkey which made my day. Very peaceful and nice views.

Great hike, easy to follow until you reach a sharp, downward turn as you get close to the lookout. We missed it completely and ended up on the road. Amazing view once you get there though!

Great trail! We’ve seen deer, lyre birds and kookaburras. Awesome view . Well worth the slow and steady climb to the top

Really enjoyed this walk. We were a bit worried about reading about part of the trail being closed but you can still do it. (It's closed due to some unstable rock cliff edges at the top of Mt Keira). We were only planning to do the ring trail but got lost at one stage and ended up scrambling up what looked like a track and found ourselves at the top of Mt Keira! We actually enjoyed this part the most :p

Have walked this trail many time and it’s still a favourite. They are doing some upgrades to track that aren’t finished yet so there is a closed section of the trail. Didn’t stop me though.

I did the Dave Walsh track up Mount Keira. It wasn’t signposted very well at places and the track is broken and hard to figure out at places. A tricky climb with some clambering over rocks/logs involved, but very rewarding.

First time hiking in 10 years for my partner and I. Tough trail for absolute beginners but totally worth it. Left track (top) closed due to rock falls, proceed at your own risk. We continued but found some of the track to be quite tricky given the recent rains and almost no traction. Would also advise taking this track first and looping the other way unless you really enjoy stair climbs.

First to Review

parking is easy to find. first thing to do is go on paved road to robertson lookout. from there back towards picnic table, go into this area and make a left on the trail. it'll lead down towards the loop. many trails coming off the loop so best keep this app on with map showing your location. i got a tad lost off trail for 20 minutes. but mostly well marked, technical and fun.
