Mountain biking

This is a great riding trail with lots of different sections. The beginning is flat and scenic with some large puddles to negotiate. The road is in pretty poor condition but OK for riding. The descent down Griffins Fire trail (once past the two locked gates) is really fun and the track is in excellent condition. The crossing of Crankeys Creek is a bit tricky; depending on the amount of water in the river you might need to get wet feet. The climb out of the valley to Jacks Corner Road is challenging and longer than it looks on the map. Be prepared to work hard here. Once you hit Jacks Corner Road the ride into Kangaroo Valley is very pleasant, just watch out for wild life. We had close encounters with a kangaroo and a wombat. Overall a great trail for fit riders.
